As per discussions at Chelveston last night and Sudborough the night before...

Asteroid 2012 DA14 will skim past the Earth (hopefully) at 7:26 p.m. on 15th February 2013 at a distance of 22,000 km which is within the orbits of TV broadcasting satellites. It is measured at 45 metres across and will be at magnitude +7 so you need binoculars at the least.

More viewing information nearer the time!! Where to look and when.

Good luck.

Alec.
